Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Рецепти.мк account and what happens to the data associated with it.

Account deletion is handled on request. Write to [email protected] and we will take care of it.

Send an email to [email protected] from the address your account is registered with.
Use the subject line “Account deletion request”.
Include your username so we can identify the correct account.

Before anything is deleted we reply to the registered address to confirm the request, so that nobody else can delete your account.

Once the request is confirmed, the following is permanently removed:

Your account and profile — name, username, email address, password, profile photo and biography.
Recipes you published or submitted, together with their photos.
Comments, ratings and the recipes you marked as tried.
Bookmarks, bookmark lists and your shopping list.
Private messages you have sent or received.
Notification tokens and device identifiers used to send you push notifications.

A small amount of information is not tied to your identity, or has to be retained:

Aggregated, anonymised statistics (for example the total number of views of a recipe), which cannot be used to identify you.
Records we are required to keep by law, such as abuse or safety reports, kept only for as long as the applicable law requires.
Residual copies in encrypted backups, which are removed within 30 days as those backups are rotated.

Requests are actioned within 30 days of confirmation. You will receive an email once the deletion has been completed.
